Canadian Election Predictions 2011

Stuff the Old Rhetoric

Right now, in the early days of the election, there is gossamer veil over the candidates' eyes. Like the emperor who wore no clothes, they blabber on in the same old rhetoric about the same old unsolvable problems, whilst the sleeping giant awakens.

First of all, I don’t want to hear one more thing about jobs or the economy. The government gutted the economy. Why sign international trade deals that only benefit large corporations if you want to improve the economy? Don’t try to sell us on fixing the economy when you broke it in the first place.

I want to know why every member of the house voted for a bill C-36 in Dec. 2010 that stripped Canada of its sovereignty, turning over enforcement of newly “harmonized” international laws to the UN and WHO? Why did this same bill get passed that is effectively decimating our natural health industry and handing it over to big Pharma? Why did every member of the house vote to not allow a moratorium on GMO Alfalfa?

If there is one issue that Canadians agree on, that is preserving our right to natural health care products AND, at least, labeling GMO foods, if not banning them all together. For the last 10 years every survey on these subjects have come up with an average 80% of Canadians agreeing.

So why is government voting to pollute our food supply and take away our natural medicines? Who’s agenda are they fulfilling? Who are they really working for? Government these days is nothing more than make work projects for the pharmaceutical industry, the military industrial complex, energy conglomerates and any other megalomaniacal corporation hell bent on world domination. Our government is guilty of treason. They doing things that are beyond their jurisdiction. They are guilty of crimes.

This is but one small sample of the betrayal of our government to the people of Canada. The betrayal runs thick through every department.

Every single department in government needs to be placed in suspend and review. Any candidate that is not campaigning on that issue is deaf, dumb or blind. Any one of the major parties can win a majority if they championed just ONE of these issues, but no… they don’t want to piss off there corporate overlords any more than the ruling party does.

Like it or not, this is what will happen. Grassroots activism will spring like salmon onto the agenda. Alternative media has come along way in 3 years. Watch out. Young people will become engaged. Social media campaigning will help this happen and cut a large swath with every age group. Internal divisions within each mainstream party will erode from within. Stephen Harper might not even survive the race. Why doesn’t any opposition party grab onto this one: Parliamentary Law Bans Harper from Re-election. Seems easy enough.

End result, we will see some representation of the Green Party, new parties and independents in the house and a fracturing of all major parties as they tear themselves asunder from the inside out. There will defiantly be a coalition government and each member will be forced to deal with the real issues. After this campaign you either get the message or you get off the boat.
